Ex-Flint Township clerk gets fine, tether and lecture from judge in ballot tampering case

FLINT TWP., MI — A former Flint Township clerk and elections supervisor for Genesee County has been sentenced to two years of probation, 180 days of house arrest, and must write a public letter of apology after pleading no contest to a felony misconduct in office in charge on Monday, April 24.

Genesee Circuit Judge Mark Latchana’s sentencing of Kathy Funk also came with a warning after she apparently commented quietly or otherwise indicated she didn’t commit the crime she pleaded no contest to having committed.
