The game Aurory, similar to Pokémon, faced a security breach on Sunday night. An attacker managed to steal approximately 600,000 AURY tokens, valued at around $830,000 at that moment.
To address the issue, Aurory’s team temporarily shut down its link, called the SyncSpace blockchain bridge, which connects the game to platforms like Solana and Arbitrum on Ethereum.
Due to this security breach, the availability of AURY tokens on the Camelot decentralized exchange dropped by 80%, leading to a sharp decrease in its value.
AURY’s value has dropped by 17% since the incident as per CoinGecko’s data, and the stolen tokens, initially worth $830,000, are now valued at around $690,000.
Despite this setback, the price of AURY has started to recover, currently standing at about $1.23 per token after dropping to $0.95 earlier.
The Aurory team clarified on Twitter that there was a security breach in their marketplace. This breach allowed someone to take funds from a wallet belonging to the Aurory development team and transfer the tokens to Arbitrum. However, they assured users that no individual user’s funds or NFTs were taken or were in danger.
