Saudi Arabia introduces its ‘cultural metaverse’ – Digital Transformation News

The Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture introduced a metaverse for displaying and preserving the nation’s cultural heritage on the occasion of its founding day, stated Cointelegraph.

“This cross-platform compatibility embodies the Ministry of Culture’s commitment to inclusivity, enabling a diverse global audience to explore and engage with the rich history of Saudi culture,” as per insights from the official announcement.

Sources revealed that the metaverse was created on Oracle’s Hyperledger Fabric 2.5 blockchain technology. The metaverse is expected to be developed by droppGroup’s Generative Media Intelligence (GMI) artificial intelligence (AI) system droppPhygital, added Cointelegraph.

Furthermore, “What we found is the biggest segment are the governments in the Middle East, especially the UAE, Saudi and Qatar, who are trying to digitalize their infrastructure and create really interesting economies for their citizens,” Samuel Huber, CEO, LandVault, a metaverse firm working with various government agencies in the Middle East, told Cointelegraph.
