Tether — the issuer of USDT steiblcoin — expects its profit to reach $15 billion in 2025. Bloomberg reports, citing the firm’s CEO Paolo Ardoino during a speech at the Plan B forum in Lugano.
According to Ardoino, the company has achieved 99% profitability and does not need external capital, but “it’s hard to ignore the level of interest” from investors.
The executive said dozens of companies want to invest in Tether, and named SoftBank and Ark Investment among potential partners.
“We have been approached by a huge number of companies that want to invest in us. We have to draw the line by determining the valuation, which we consider too low,” he said.
In addition, Tether is also preparing to launch a new USAT stablecoin targeting the US market. According to the CEO, this step is associated with “a more favorable position of the Donald Trump administration in relation to cryptocurrencies”.
Recall, earlier, the CEO of Tether announced the launch of a solution for creating cryptocurrency wallets.
