Crypto Nightmare ‘NFT: Cursed Images’ Sets North American Release Date

Chroma has officially locked in the North American debut for Jonas Odenheimer’s “NFT: Cursed Images.” The non-fungible nightmare that swept the 2024 British Horror Film Festival will hit digital platforms and select theaters on March 6, 2026.

Produced under Odenheimer’s Old Jim Productions, the London-shot horror follows seven friends who discover a highly coveted NFT collection called Crypto Horrors, promising profit, status, and social clout. The investment turns deadly when the digital monsters manifest in the real world, stalking and attacking their owners one by one. As the friends struggle to survive, panic spreads not only among the group but across online communities, where others begin to report strange phenomena linked to the cursed NFTs.

“My team and I wanted not only to create a ‘gateway horror’ that would be a good entry point for a younger audience member into the scary movie culture, but also a movie that is relatable to an entire generation whose main worries became their financial future,” says Odenheimer.

The film features an ensemble cast including David Wayman (“The Ledge”), Mariah Nonnemacher (“Terminator: Dark Fate”), and Najarra Townsend (“The Stylist”).

In a move that blurs the line between the screen and reality, Chroma has partnered with VeVe Digital Collectibles. Viewers can scan a QR code featured in the official trailer to claim one of 6,666 limited-edition digital creatures—one of the same creatures that appear in the film.

Starting March 6, “NFT: Cursed Images” will be available for rent or purchase on Digital HD, including Apple TV, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home.
