New Hampshire has taken another step toward advancing legislation that protects rights related to blockchain activity.
Bitcoin Laws reported on May 26 that the New Hampshire House and Senate agreed on a compromise version of HB639, known as the “Blockchain Basics” bill.
The two chambers had previously passed different versions of the measure. The agreement completes the final reconciliation process.
The bill would protect the right to use digital assets for payments, operate blockchain nodes and engage in Bitcoin mining. It also focuses on explicitly guaranteeing individuals’ rights to engage in blockchain activity and participate in blockchain networks.
