The traditional altcoin season pattern, in which altcoins soared when Bitcoin (BTC) rose, has broken down, according to CryptoQuant CEO Ki Young Ju.

In a recent post on X on June 19, Ju wrote that the rotation of capital from Bitcoin into altcoins, once the main driver of past altcoin seasons, has effectively disappeared.

That means the investment landscape is shifting fundamentally, with profits from Bitcoin no longer flowing into altcoins.

Ju added that altcoin trading volume in the Bitcoin market has plunged to near-collapse levels since 2021.
