There have been many objects, from a £65 food blender to a £1,700 fountain pen, that Sarah, Duchess of York has found herself selling over the years.

Now it is time for the NFTs.

The duchess has begun creating her own digital art with her own “spoken word” poetry overlaid with visual interpretations of the “story” by other artists.

The 63-year-old has set up a company and teamed up with the Nifty Gateway online platform that sells non-fungible token (NFT) art — to sell her own artworks and to promote other artists through a digital art exhibition.

The organisers said that through poetry, images, artificial intelligence and special effects the exhibition will “allow new forms of storytelling to break through”.
