minD design’s oblivion house integrates nature in the metaverse

mind design’s oblivion house converges the physical and virtual

Stepping into the Web3 sphere, minD Design strikes a balance between architecture and nature, and reality and imagination with its Oblivion House. Transporting their characteristic structures defined by undulating lines and futuristic finishes into the digital realm, the phygital home cantilevers off a cliffside to overlook picturesque vistas of an ocean in Dom World Metaverse.

The structure demonstrates the impact of transparency by blending symbiotically with its engulfing natural context, inviting expansive glimpses of nature inside for a unique, holistic living experience rooted in fostering the well-being of its user.

Teetering on the boundaries between virtual and reality and intertwining the two realms, the phygital Oblivion House tests the extremes of the dwelling paradigm. In an openly fluid yet controlled design, the intricate structure’s waving form echoes the contours of the cliffside and emerges from a lush bed of greenery, weaving elements of plants throughout the home in continuation.

Commanded as an explorational approach for creating a dwelling, London-based studio minD Design pushes forward the agility of the living space and challenges conventional stereotypes. The project unveils a dynamic program full of open spaces where one may find a way to play, work, and rest while enjoying the benefits of seclusion and nature. ‘This approach is envisioned to elevate the resident’s way of living, well-being, tranquillity, calmness, and health,’ notes lead architect, Miroslav Naskov.
