Nikon updates remote tether software

Nikon has released Version 2.0.0 of its NX Tether software, providing a Live view display for seamless remote shooting and photo and video control compatible with tether shooting scenes.

Designed for studio shoots, it features improvements to the user interface and adjustable layout on the computer screen, which will allow Nikon users to customise their window arrangements for more efficient work. The upgraded software can also help photographers recording time-lapses, users who require many cuts from the same angle, or those in challenging situations to directly touch and control the camera. Users of the software will be able to adjust Active D-lighting, focus control, focus point display and picture and video control, and have the option to connect and control operations via built-in Wi-Fi with our Nikon Wireless Transmitter Utility. They can also transfer JPEG and HEIF files in different image qualities and file formats depending on their Nikon cameras.

Nikon NX Tether Version 2.0.0 is supported for the Z 9, Z 8, Z 7II, Z 6II, Z 7, Z 6, D780 and D6 cameras and compatible with Windows 10 and 11 and Mac OS Sonoma 14, Ventura 13 and Monterey 12. Click here to download the new software.
