Former blockchain MMORPG Soulbound enters early access July 21 and offers a Steam Next Fest demo

Last month we reported on Soulbound, a pixel art MMORPG formerly known as the blockchain game Worldwide Webb before that version was axed in favor of releasing as a normal damn game. At the time, SpiderWare described an MMO that blends cozy and combat together in a digital world that characters are trapped in by some malevolent force.

Since then, there have been a couple of notable updates: First, the title has an official early access release date of Tuesday, July 21st, and it’s also offering a free demo as part of Steam Next Fest. The demo in question offers around seven hours’ worth of gameplay, after which the studio promises its roadmap for the next 12 months.

As for what early access will entail, we expect that will be explained in the aforementioned roadmap in greater detail, but the studio does outline that players can expect balance changes, new content, new raids, life skills, quality-of-life improvements, and new quest lines and features. Whether this will cost anything isn’t detailed either, but regardless, a taste test is online for a little bit longer yet.
